2018 Big-Bore Adventure Touring Shootout – Part 2: We Do It In The Dirt

The Triumph’s crash bars don’t cover a whole lot of area, but they are quite sturdy. The skid plate, which covers the exhaust headers, on the other hand, is not as beefy, and we were wary at points to not smash it. The right rock under the Tiger’s 632-pound heft, would surely do some damage. Fortunately, there’s a number of heavier duty options for the serious off-road ADV rider available from the aftermarket if tougher dirt riding is on your horizon.
