AWSOME,AWSOME,AWSOME!!!
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 28, 2009Bought my new fatboy last week and I have just now stopped long enough to eat!! The ride feels like I`m riding on air. Cruising the interstate at 70+ MPH and the engine sounds like its barely over an idol. The power from this 96 cubic inch 1584 cc engine is PLENTY!! This baby will rocket out of ... the hole if you cock the throttle about half way when taking off. I am taking it easy on her until I roll in a few miles but I can`t wait until the Biker Blowout on the coast so I can run her through the quarter mile and see what this baby will do. I love this bike like I`ve never loved another. It`s a beautiful piece of machinery and has the power of a jet and rides like a cadillac. I added some chrome, seats, and exhaust that aren`t shown in the photos and I plan to add a few more bells and whistles in the near future. What more could a person ask for? I had dreamed a dream and it has come true.

Definitive a great ride
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 23, 2009I had 2001 Valkery trade for 2009 Fat boy . Outstanding the balance og the bike is remarkable very easy to ride feels light for a 700 pounds bike. Put Samson pipes with power commander and air flow system. The sound is perfect Harly sound, nevertheless; the power increase was noticeable. Ride Safe ... Sherlock

Harley_Davidson Fat Boy
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Jul 06, 2009I rented this bike in Las Vegas and was amazed at how comfortable this bike is to ride long distances on! The Fat Boy had plenty of power in the first 4 gears, in the higher gears it was lacking even at highway speeds without a downshift.
Being used to a sports bike, I did not like the fact ... that I could not lean the bike over in the twisties without scraping the foot boards. Other than that I really like this bike! Although the bike is over 700 pounds, it felt very well balanced even at slow speed manouvers. If the price of this bike was 2-3 thousand lower, I would have this Fat Boy in my garage.

Fatboy with SE Stage II
By (I am an Owner) on May 21, 2009Tested the Fatboy against the Fatbob, Crossbones and Rocker C last week at my dealer in Cheltenham UK. The Fatboy was fitted with the SE stage II 103" kit and a V&H Pro pipe. The acceleration was awesome, the sound pure. I am ordering this bike very soon. Against the others there was really no comparison. ... Question then is how I get it to Moscow for the summer and weekends at the Sexton Club!

Harley-Davidson just keeps getting it right!
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 31, 2009I test rode the new 2009 Softail Fatboy, and I must say that it was everything that I thought it would be and more. I traveled to the Harley-Davidson dealership in Lithia Springs, GA. I frequently go to the store just to check out the lastest gear and chat with the staff, which by the way, are ... always friendly. Now, back to the bike. I walked into the store and migrated right up to the Fatboy. I asked to test ride it, and of course, they said yes. I was so excited and full of anticipation of the ride. I put on my helmet and gear and met the staff member outside. Once on the bike, I turned on all the switches and fired it up. Oh, my goodness! The sound, the feel, all perfect. The fatboy responded to my every move. The seat was very comfortable, the engine ran very smooth, and the floor boards were very lovely to place my feet on. Great pipes, even though they were stock. So, what can I say? The Fatboy will be my next purchase, and I must say that I will have no regrets at all. Keep doing what you're doing Harley. I'm all on board. The Fatboy is all that and then some.

awesome bike
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 13, 2009Just traded up to the new '09 Fat Boy with the Sportster MSRP trade-in deal. Definitely a good decision.
Opinion is pretty close to the motorcycle.com review of the '07 Fat Boy. Ridiculously stable and comfortable.
The wide tires are a highlight of this bike. ... They keep a firm grip through any turn. You feel solidly connected to the road. Also can go over bumps and potholes no problem and you hardly feel anything.
Engine is another high point. It looks and performs great. Plenty of power when you need it and really smooth acceleration. Sounds awesome, too; no need to change the stock engine. Fuel injection works great.
Final high point is that sixth gear. It's awesome to be able to go highway speed without the entire bike shaking.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well the bike handles. You can lean pretty far either side without scraping the floorboards on the ground.
Also was surprised at how well the Softail suspension worked. Wasn't to keen on trusting it at first, but it does give a really comfortable ride.
Styling is great; twin exhaust looks awesome; old fashioned hard-tail look is cool. Got mine in black pearl paint. The whole bike shines.
I'm using this bike for relaxed cruising; especially since it can handle longer distances with the wide comfortable seat and forward-mounted floorboards.
Only thing I'd maybe change is to raise the handlebars a bit. I'm 5'11 and my shoulders sometimes get a bit strained; I feel like I'm reaching too far down. Add a detachable windshield and this bike will take you across country.
Great purchase. Hope it lasts me the next 15 years. Anyone looking for a Harley or Buell go to Harley-Davidson/ Buell of Long Branch, NJ. There are really nice and helpful people there.

best bike i could have bought, dollar for dollar, pound for pound. #1
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 10, 2009just traded in my 07 electra glide and thought i might miss her but i just cant wipe the smile off my face every time i saddle up on my fat boy. the bike has a very heavy duty feel to it. solid and serious in nature. not for the timid to be sure. reminds me of my old shovel in some ways, she demands ... attention, look at me, listen to me, dream of me . big assed bike. no wonder they used the fatboy in terminator, no other bike could fit the bill or carry that much arnold and still look huge. thank you Harley Davidson.

09 Black Denim Fat Boy
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 07, 2009Handles great, the flat black has an old school look to it.
Handles the road well, plenty of power and performance.
Added windshield, bags, exhaust tips (Rush), and LoJack (which complements the HD Security System).
