1,679cc muscle bike returns for 2010
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Aug. 04, 2009
The 2010 Star Motorcycles VMax is available for order now at Yamaha dealerships.

Reintroduced in 2009, the VMax muscle bike returns in 2010 with a new candy red color scheme.

The 1,679cc four-valve DOHC liquid cooled engine is fuel injected, using the Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-I) technology and Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) ride-by-wire control.

The chassis consists of a lightweight aluminum frame and swingarm. Suspension is provided by adjustable cartridge-damper-type front forks with titanium-coated 52mm inner tubes and a link-type Monocross rear shock.

Brembo master cylinders with 320mm discs and six-piston calipers up front and 29mm discs with single-piston calipers at the rear are incorporated into a three-position antilock brake system.

The Star Motorcycles VMax returns for 2010 with a new Candy Red color scheme.

Production of the 2010 VMax is limited but customers can purchase the muscle bike through Star Motorcycles priority delivery program. Priced at $19,500, the 2010 VMax will begin shipping in November.
