WSBK: Kawasaki Ninja 250R Cup Details

World Superbike promoter Infront Motorsports has released prize details and official specifications for the new European Junior Cup featuring the Kawasaki Ninja 250R.

The European Junior Cup will feature 14-17 year-old racers on spec race-prepped Kawasaki Ninja 250R motorcycles competing at six European WSBK rounds.

The Cup winner will have a choice between a 10,000 euro (US$13,100) award, or 15,000 euros (US$19,625) funding to race in the 2012 European Superstock 600 championship. Each of the Cups six races will award 1,000 euros (US$1,310) to the winner, 600 euros (US$785) for a second place finish and 300 euros (US$392) for third. Infront is also offering special prizes of 250 euro (US$327) for female racers and 14- and 15-year-olds.

Race-equipped Junior Cup Kawasaki Ninja 250R bikes will be equipped with a full race exhaust and ECU from LeoVince. FG Gubellini will supply the suspension systems while Fren Turbo provides the brake lines. Italian company Plastic Bike will provide the racing fairing while Gilles Tuning will supply adjustable footrests. Febur will provide handlebars, subframes and pit equipment. HM-shifter will provide digital lap timers, Corsa Components will provide gearing sets and Capit Performance will provide tire warmers.
