WSBK: Hacking to race in Utah round

Hacker to sub for injured Kawasaki rider
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, May. 20, 2009
Jamie Hacking will race for the factory-backed Paul Bird Motorsport Kawasaki team at the Utah round of the 2009 World Superbike Championship.

Hacking, a three-time AMA champion, will substitute for the injured Makoto Tamada to race alongside Broc Parkes at the May 31 WSBK event at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah. Tamada broke his wrist at the May 10 Monza round. South African rider Sheridan Morais filled in for Tamada at the Kyalami round May 17.

says Hacking. I cant really say what a realistic expectation would be without riding the bike, but Miller does seem to suit my style. Last year, it was our best track on the ZX-10R and I hope that we can try for a top ten.

Hacking finished second for Monster Energy Kawasaki at the two AMA Superbike races at Miller Motorsports Park in 2008. Current Yamaha WSBK rider Ben Spies won both those races.
