WSBK: European Junior Cup Announced

Youth racing series using Kawasaki Ninja 250R

World Superbike organizers Infront Motor Sports announced a new youth racing series featuring the Kawasaki Ninja 250R at select European rounds of the 2011 season.

The European Junior Cup will have riders ages 14-17 on race-prepped Kawasaki Ninja 250R motorcycles. Races will be held on Sundays directly before the second race of WSBK double headers at six European rounds.

The entry fee is 18,950 euros (US$25,000) which covers the Ninja 250R race bike, pit equipment, and riding equipment. Riders will also be provided with Pirelli tires, fuel, hospitality at the paddock village, technical support, and coaching from professional riders.

Riders will also take part in a pre-season training camp in Guadix, Spain.

The European Junior Cup will use race-prepped Kawasaki Ninja 250R sportbikes.

Prospective riders can apply online at http://www.europeanjuniorcup.com/. Candidates must be between the ages of 14 and 17 and have held a competition license for at least one year in road racing, motocross, enduro, supermoto, trials or minimoto.
