Victory to Auction Off Kyle Petty's Vision

By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Jul. 12, 2007

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., July 11, 2007

Victory Motorcycles, a division of Polaris Industries Inc. (NYSE: PII), announced today it will put up for auction the brand new Victory Vision that Kyle Petty will ride this year during his annual Chick-fil-A Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America to raise money for the Victory Junction Gang Camp.

Petty will ride the new Victory Vision Tour, launched this past January and not available to consumers until the fall, more than 2,800 miles down the East Coast from Maine to Florida. At the conclusion of the Ride, the bike will be signed by the NASCAR hero and awarded to the auction's highest bidder. All net proceeds from the auction will be donated by Victory Motorcycles to the camp where it will go to help children with chronic and serious illnesses.

Bidding on the autographed Victory Vision will begin on Wednesday, July 11 and extend through July 21. Consumers can go to www.victorymotorcycles.com to place a bid or get more information on the auction item. The auction will be housed on eBay® and the minimum bid for the ultra-modern touring bike will be set at $20,000.

The Victory Vision auction is another way that we can show our support for Kyle and the kids at Victory Junction Gang Camp, said Tom Tiller, CEO, Polaris Industries. We are proud of both our long-standing partnership with the Charity Ride, and the opportunity to help raise money and drive forward the inspirational mission of the Pettys and their camp.

The Victory Vision boasts the Minnesota-based Company's own Freedom V-Twin engine, unmatched comfort and breakthrough American styling. The revolutionary luxury touring motorcycle features four inches of cushion in the drivers seat, a relaxed, feet-forward riding position, dramatic aerodynamics, wind protection and airflow management for all-weather riding, as well as ample storage space.

I am extremely grateful to the people of Victory Motorcycles for their generosity and support of this year's Charity Ride said Kyle Petty. Just getting to ride the awesome Victory Vision is going to be a huge thrill, but to have them donate the bike for auction and help raise money for the kids and the camp is unbelievable.

The Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America is an annual motorcycle ride that raises money in support of its primary beneficiary, the Victory Junction Gang Camp a summer camp for children battling chronic and serious illnesses that Petty and his wife, Pattie, created in memory of their son Adam. Each year, more than 250 motorcyclists from around the U.S. join Petty on the cross-country trip and have raised more than $9 million to date for the camp, as well as other selected children's charities. Along the way, Petty and the riders stop to visit with motorcycle and NASCAR fans, and spread the word about the ride and the mission to raise money for the Victory Junction Gang Camp.

For the past nine years, Victory Motorcycles has proudly supported the Kyle Petty Charity Ride. During that time period, the Company has contributed more than $400,000 to the Charity Ride.
