Victory offers 5-year extended warranty

Coverage across model lineup
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Feb. 09, 2009
As the recession continues and bike sales slump, Victory Motorcycles is offering a five-year limited warranty on all new Victory bikes.

The offer is valid only in the United States and Canada and will only be available for a limited time. The transferable, full coverage warranty program is valid on any new and unregistered Victory motorcycle and will be retroactive for motorcycles sold since Jan. 1, 2009.

The five-year coverage consists of 48-month Polaristar ESC coverage in addition to the Victory 12-month factory limited warranty for a total of five years. The Polaristar ESC carries a standard $50 deductible with unlimited mileage.

Victory's new five-year warranty covers its entire line including the Ness Signature Series.
The Victory Motorcycles brand translates into tremendous value for our owners, says Mark Blackwell, vice president of Victory Motorcycles. Our resale value is in line with the industry leader, and Victory is at the top of consumer satisfaction charts with a 95 percent owners satisfaction rating. We work hard to ensure every Victory Motorcycle is built to our highest standards. The new extended warranty is our way to share the confidence we have in our products.

For 2009, Victory offers 17 models in seven model families: Custom Cruisers, Muscle Cruisers, Low Cruisers, 8-Ball Cruisers, Classic Cruisers, Touring and the Ness Signature Series. Prices range from $13,799 for the Vegas 8-Ball to $28,999 for the limited edition 10th Anniversary Vision Tour.

Sales in 2008 were down 17 percent compared to 2007, so Victory officials are looking at options for volume adjustment, (ie. Selling more bikes) to rectify this situation.
