Piaggio Group Americas will launch the new version of the site, http://www.vespausa.com/, on Nov. 14.
“The Vespa brand appeals to both the emotional and rational side of the brain, and the new www.VespaUSA.com site offers a world of content that speaks to both,” says Paolo Timoni, president and chief executive officer of Piaggio Group Americas. “With more consumers than ever considering a scooter as a personal transportation option, we have created a one-stop resource center that provides all the tools, information and inspiration any consumer needs to join the nation's rapidly growing scooter community.”
Visitors to the updated site should expect to find a new Google Maps-based “Community Rides” tool which allows them to share riding routes with others.
The website’s current “Vespanomics” section will receive a new fuel savings calculator to show users how having a Vespa scooter as a secondary vehicle to their cars and SUVs can increase their overall fuel efficiency.
The site will also tap into the Vespa brand’s past in a new “History & Heritage” section. Visitors can follow the evolution of Vespa’s iconic scooters as well as see classic advertising campaigns, calendars and songs that accompanied the introduction of new models.
