TTXGP Adds Canadian Round to EGrandPrix

Mosport International Raceway in Bowmanville, Ont., just outside of Toronto, will host the eGrand Prix July 8 11, 2010. The Mosport rounds joins the May 14-16, 2010, round at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif.

The Mosport electric race will be held in conjunction with rounds four and five of the Parts Canada National Superbike Championship.

Everyone involved in the Canadian series is really looking forward to the TTXGP event at Mosport in 2010; we believe this event has a solid long term future, says Colin Fraser, president of Professional Motorsports Productions, which organizes the Canadian Superbike series. The electric initiative is attracting lots of attention, and we know Mosport will serve as a great showcase for TTXGP.

The multi-track Mosport facility has hosted World Superbike, World Motocross and 500cc Grand Prix races in the past, and Fraser says the TTXGP event will add another chapter to the circuits history.

We have a great history of close racing at Mosport, and we look forward to growing this unique event along with TTXGP in the coming years, says Fraser. TTXGP adds another element to the Superbike program, and cutting edge technology is always popular with our sports bike enthusiast crowd.

Two more rounds are expected to be added to the TTXGPs North American circuit. TTXGP organizers have already announced three rounds in its United Kingdom eGrandPrix series with a fourth to be confirmed. The Isle of Man will also host its second TTXGP race in 2010.

With two North American rounds confirmed, the TTXGP widens its edge over the International Motorcycling Federations rival electric racing series. The eGrandPrix has also secured the participation of several manufacturers including Zero and Mission Motors.

Im very pleased that, after such a short period of time, we are able to deliver this event to the world, says Jeremy Burne, director of TTXGPs North American operations. It reflects the confidence that the racing community has, across the board, in TTXGP. It is going to be a great starting grid for 2010.
