Triumph Speed Triple turns 15

Company releases limited edition anniversary model

Triumph is celebrating the Speed Triple’s 15th birthday with a limited edition model.

“There are very few motorcycles that truly break through and shift design for the entire sport. The Speed Triple is one of those motorcycles,” says Jim Callahan, North American marketing manager for Triumph Motorcycles. “The Speed Triple has been refined over the years for even better styling and performance, but the bike has always remained true to the original concept and has always been one of the most recognized streetfighter-style motorcycles. It is one of Triumph’s greatest success stories.”

The 15th Anniversary Triumph Speed Triple will soon be available in North American dealerships.The 15th Anniversary Speed Triple comes in a “Phantom Black” metallic paint with red pinstriped wheels and special anniversary decals. A gel seat, color-matched flyscreen and bellypan, usually available as options, come standard on the anniversary model.

The fuel tank on the 15th Anniversary Speed Triple also features the signature of entrepreneur John Bloor, who revived the company in the ’80s.

Each limited edition Speed triple comes with a commemorative watch featuring matching red and black detailing. Custom designed with a stainless steel case, crown and pusher buttons, and an integrated leather strap with an engraved buckle.

The Speed Triple, released in 1994, is the most successful Triumph in the modern Hickley era.
