Suzuki Sponsors Elena Myers
Myers, the first woman to win an AMA Pro Road Racing race, will ride the new 2011 Suzuki GSX-R600 under a unique sponsorship program with American Suzuki.
The sponsorship will be tied into American Suzukis social networking program, SuzukiScoopFans. Myers will interact with Suzuki racing fans over Facebook, and a different Facebook user comment will be displayed on the tank of the GSX-R600 at each race weekend.
Ive been on Facebook for a couple years now, and let me say, I'm a really big fan of it, says Myers who races for Team Hammer. Its been a great way for me to communicate and connect with fans all over the world. That said, Im extremely excited to be riding for SuzukiScoopFans for the 2011 season. For me, its an amazing opportunity because it'll help get my name out more to fans other than those of road racing, and also give me an even better way to connect with fans. On the technical side of things, Im also very excited to ride the 2011 GSX-R. I have some of the best in the industry working on my team so the whole package will really be great.
