Suzuki extends MotoGP deal with Rizla

MotoGP sponsorship deal continues to 2011
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Feb. 01, 2010
Suzuki announced a two-year sponsorship extension with Imperial Tobacco Limited for its MotoGP project.

ITLs Rizla brand of rolling papers will continue to be the title sponsor for Suzuki s MotoGP team. Rizla has been associated with Suzuki since the 80s and became the teams title sponsor in 2006.

The extension means the Suzuki GSV-R, along with riders Loris Capirossi and Álvaro Bautista will continue to wear the familiar Rizla Blue

Rizla will continue to sponsor Suzuki's MotoGP team through to 2011.

Everybody involved with the Suzuki Grand Prix project is delighted that the Rizla brand will continue its partnership in 2010 and into 2011, and that we are able to continue with the now iconic Rizla Suzuki image for the next two seasons, says Paul Denning, team manager. Its very clear that the 2009 season fell far below our expectations and targets, but Loris, Álvaro, the whole team and the Suzuki Racing group in Hamamatsu will be doing everything we can to take a big step forward and re-pay Rizlas faith in the project during 2010 and beyond.
