Shift Racing will sponsor privateer Yamaha rider Michael Beck for the 2009 AMA Daytona Sportbike Championship.

I cant thank Shift enough for their support of my racing program. The performance, comfort and quality of their racing gear are top notch and the style they put into their products is second to none, says Beck. I feel 100% prepared going into this season and Im confident that I can repay Shifts support with my best results ever.

Beck finished ninth in the 2008 AMA Supersport class with one top five finish and five top ten placements. For 2009, Beck will face the competition wearing Shifts Vertex leather suit and gloves.

Michael Beck will ride a Graves Motorsport-backed Yamaha R6 in the AMA Daytona Sportbike class.
We helped out Michael during the closing stages of the 2008 season and were extremely impressed with his skill and composure both on the track as well as in the media eye, says Brett Nicholas, Shift brand manager. Michael has a huge amount of natural talent and his love of motocross makes him the perfect fit for the youthful vibe of our company and our progressive street and MX products.

Becks season begins March 6 under the lights in the Daytona 200 at Daytona International Speedway.
