Students can earn prizes
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Dec. 03, 2009
The Kevin Schwantz School has released its 2010 schedule.

The riding school will hold six dates at its home base at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala., with another two dates to be held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway ahead of the MotoGPs Indianapolis Grand Prix.

Former Grand Prix World Champion Kevin Schwantz and his team of instructors will provide both lessons in the classroom and on the track. In-class instruction will cover topics such as visual awareness and concentration, body position and steering, lines and reference points, gear selection and shifting, and braking. On the track, instructors will lead a track walk with a corner-by-corner look of the course. Students can then practice what theyve learned on Honda CBR600RRs and Suzuki GSX-R600s.

The schools tire provider, Michelin, is also sponsoring a most improved student award. One student from each class will be given the award along with a new set of motorcycle tires of their choice. Safety gear manufacturer Dainese will also award a Wave back protector to the safest student in each class. Students can also win a pair of passes to a MotoGP race of the winners choice.
