Roehr eSuperbike to race TTXGP
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Jan. 04, 2010
Roehr Motorcycles is producing a line of electric motorcycles.

Best known for its 1250sc and its claimed 180hp, Roehr plans to launch two electric models, the eSuperbike and the eSupersport. The two eRoehr models will be powered by AC induction motors running on lithium ion batteries.

The Roehr eSuperbike claims 96 hp and 210 ft-lb. of torque and will use a 10 Kwh battery pack. The eSuperbike will be the basis for Roehrs entry into the U.S. TTXGP electric racing series, and will feature premium suspension and brake components. The 1250sc uses Ohlins suspension and Brembo brakes, so a similar setup shouldnt be a surprise.

Roehr will also offer race-prepped versions of the eSuperbike for racers seeking to enter in the TTXGP or the FIMs e-Power racing series.

The eSupersport is being billed as Roehrs entry-level electric sportbike. Roehr claims a power output of 48 hp and 105 ft-lb. of torque for the eSupersport which will be powered by a 6 Kwh battery.

Pricing will be announced over the next few weeks.
