The Illinois-based manufacturer announced it was entering the electric motorcycle market at the beginning of the year and provided details and images of a prototype, without the fairing, in May.
Following the announcement of Brammoís 100 mph / 100 mile range (claimed) Empulse, Roehr has officially unveiled its eRoehr electric motorcycles.
Built using a Hyosung GT250 chassis, the eRoehr lineup includes three models, the eSupersport, eSuperbike and the eSuperbike RR racebike.
The eSupersport uses a single AC induction motor, with a 5.8 kWh battery. Priced at $16,965, Roehr says the bike weighs 395 pounds and produces 48 hp, allowing it to reach the 100 mph mark, and ability to go from 0-60 mph in about 5 seconds.
A step up is the eSuperbike at $27,595, which comes with a 7.7 kWh battery, and adds a second AC induction motor to double its claimed power output to 96 hp. The eSuperbike also adds a fully adjustable Ohlins rear shock and four piston Brembo front brakes. According to Roehr, the eSuperbike weighs 500 pounds and is geared tall enough for a top speed of 135 mph, while still allowing it to sprint from 0-60 mph below three seconds.
The flagship model is the eSuperbike RR, priced at $34,495. Though it is street legal, the RR version is designed to compete in the TTXGP and the FIMís e-Power series. The eSuperbike RR regular version, but adds a fully adjustable 43mm Ohlins fork, and higher-spec Brembo brakes.
All three models use Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries. Depending on the speed, load and terrain, Roehr estimates the eSupersport will go from 60-80 miles on a single charge while the eSuperbike (and the RR version) will travel 75-100 miles before needing to be recharged.
Roerh is now accepting orders for its electric models on a first-come, first-serve basis with a refundable $2,000 deposit.
