The Monterey, Calif. track is offering a “Grand Prix Special” ticket for the United States Grand Prix, July 3-5. A $175 Grand Prix Special ticket includes three-day general admission and a Turn 4 grandstand seat for the Saturday and Sunday, and participation in a parade lap of the 2.238-mile circuit, led by MotoGP riders.
Yamaha, Honda, Ducati and Suzuki have already signed on to take part, with negotiations underway with Kawasaki, BMW and Buell. Grand Prix Special ticket-holders will receive a goodie bag from their favorite manufacturer and be allowed to park in brand-specific parking areas.
“We’re delighted that the manufacturers are giving the fans this opportunity,” says Gill Campbell chief executive officer and general manager of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. “I think I’m going to have to go and get a Yamaha for the weekend so I can ride around the track with Colin Edwards or Jorge Lorenzo. It just doesn’t get any better than that.”
The first 500 people to purchase a Grand Prix Special ticket will receive a limited-edition print of Fiat Yamaha’s Valentino Rossi and Ducati Marlboro’s Casey Stoner from the 2008 USGP.
