Recall for 2010 MV Agusta F4
According to documents submitted to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the upper fixture points of the rear subframe on some 2010 MV Agusta F4 units may not be sufficiently robust and may break under normal use.
The problem was first reported in May 2010 during road testing of the MV Agusta F4. A test rider reported unstable saddle support. MV Agusta determined the cause was due to a fracture in the fixture points of the upper rear subframe. No crashes, injuries or warranty claims were reported as a result of this problem.
To address the problem, MV Agusta designed and engineered a new rear subframe for models produced Sept. 8, 2010 and beyond. A reinforcement support for the rear subframe was developed for units produced Sept. 7, 2010 and earlier.
MV Agusta dealers will install the reinforcement support on affected units. The recall campaign affects 211 units sold in the U.S.
