PSG-1 WSBK team down to one rider
Matteo Baiocco will be the teams sole rider for the rest of the season, leaving Ayrton Badovini without a ride.
The San Marino-based PSG-1 Corse team operated Kawasakis factory WSBK program in 2008 before the manufacturer opted to switch to the Paul Bird Racing Team in November.
Team manager Pierguido Pagani opted to stick with WSBK rookie Baiocco who has competed in all six races this season, with his best result a 19th-place finish in the first Qatar race. Badovini is two years younger than Baiocco and already has a full WSBK season under his belt after finishing 24th for Team Pedercini Kawasaki in 2008. Badovini has PSG-1 Corses best finish this season, 17th in the first Valencia race, but it was the only race he finished this season. Badovini did not start in the season-opening Phillip Island races and retired in the other three.
