"Corn for Kids" program supports local food banks
By Staff, Aug. 05, 2009
Progressive Insurance is giving motorcyclists an appetizing way to help their local communities. Over the next several months, Americas largest motorcycle insurer, Progressive, is giving away hot roasted corn on the cob at motorcycle rallies across the country for a suggested donation of $1 an ear.

The program, called Corn for Kids, benefits local Feeding America food banks to help feed needy children and their families and other charities such as Kids & Chrome in Sturgis, S.D.

Riders are a charitable bunchin fact, we recently surveyed male riders and found that nearly half are involved in a charity or cause, says Marcy Gray, long-time rider and a motorcycle product manager at Progressive. Were thrilled to help feed bikers desire to give backand their bellies too.

Progressives Corn for Kids program kicked off at Sturgiss Bike Week and 10 other events have been scheduled.
