Piaggio forms new Canadian dealer network

New websites created for Piaggio Group brands
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, May. 13, 2010
Piaggio is creating a new dealer network in Canada after ending its partnership with a Canadian distributor.

The Italian manufacturer ended its ties with importer Canadian Scooter Corp. in November 2009. Instead, Piaggio Group Americas (PGA) is handling Canadian distribution itself out of its New York office, in conjunction with managers in Toronto and Montreal.

Piaggio has formed a network of 35 dealers across Canada for its family of brands which include Vespa, Aprilia, and Moto Guzzi. In November, Piaggio asked all dealers who previously worked with Canadian Scooter Corp. to submit warranty claims and new registrations to PGA.

Each brand will also have a new website for the Canadian market ( http://www.piaggio-canada.ca/, http://www.vespa-canada.ca/, http://www.aprilia-canada.ca/, and http://www.motoguzzi-canada.ca/). Their previous websites, such as VespaCanada.com, are no longer available.
