Pegram To Race BMW S1000RR

Pegram switches to BMW for 2011 AMA Superbike Championship
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Nov. 25, 2010
Larry Pegram will ride the BMW S100RR in the 2011 AMA American Superbike Championship.

Pegram and the Foremost Insurance Pegram Racing team will switch to the BMW S1000RR after ending their long association with Ducati.

We have tested three times aboard a slightly modified, but mostly stock, BMW S1000RR and I am really pleased with the bikes performance, says Pegram. I comfortably did laps that were already very competitive. Some minor modifications will make the RR race ready and a true contender to win AMA Pro SuperBike races.

Pegram finished fourth in the 2010 AMA American Superbike Championship, winning one race and making six appearances on the podium.

Larry Pegram won the first race of the 2010 Auto Club Speedway round of the AMA American Superbike Championship.

BMW is thrilled that Foremost Insurance / Pegram Racing have chosen to campaign the BMW S1000RR in the AMA Superbike championship, says Todd Andersen, marketing manager for BMW North America. Giving Larrys race-winning history, we expect great things from the team.
