Nicky Hayden has released pictures of the specially designed helmet he will wear for the Aug. 29 Indianapolis Grand Prix.

The Ducati Marlboro MotoGP rider posted photographs of the one-off Indy-themed Arai helmet on his personal Facebook page.

The helmet design features Indianapolis Motor Speedways tower and the distinctive Yard of Bricks along the start/finish line. The helmet also features a stars and stripes motif for what the American racer considers to be his home race.

Nicky Hayden will wear this specially designed helmet for the 2010 Indianapolis Grand Prix.

Hayden has had some luck racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, appearing on the podium in the two MotoGP races held at the Brickyard. The Kentucky native is still looking for his first podium finish of the season, despite coming close with four fourth-place results.

Also at Indianapolis, Ducati is expected to announce a contract extension with Hayden to race in 2011 alongside Valentino Rossi.

Hayden has a second- and a third- place result at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
