New Nicky Hayden lid by Arai

(Daytona, FL) Arai is set to introduce a new replica design that roadracing fans have been asking for, waiting for, and closely following the development of, literally, for months! Since the beginning of the 2002 season, Nicky Hayden has been navigating the country's race circuits in several versions of a new Arai helmet design.

Since he's been out in front for most of those races, it's been easy for fans to get great views of the new lid's design evolution as various colors and design elements came and went. Now, everybody's happy, everything's ready, and the wait is over. Arai's new "Nicky Hayden Wired Replica" is set to begin appearing in stores in July...

The new helmet comes in two versions -- the Wired in Red (pictured), and Wired Black - the only difference being the helmet's base color.

The back of the helmet shows Hayden's signature cartoon Leopard character. Available in Arai's RX-7RR4 model, it features such Arai race-inspired features as the company's ground-breaking diffuser ventilation system, fully-removable 'space frame' interior liner, LRS shield-removal mechanism, and the advanced FFS FreeFlow System whose cheekpad design, neck roll, and extended pull-down chinbar spoiler all combine to further reduce wind turbulence while increasing the exhaust of hot air from the face area. And, like all Arai Helmets, the new Hayden 'Wired' Replica benefits from Arai's handmade quality, exhaustive attention to detail, and the multiple-density foam interiors that are still hand-fit into place for a level of comfort so special that it has helped Arai just earn its fourth consecutive J.D. Power and Associates Customer Satisfaction Award as the highest-ranking motorcycle helmet!

Arai's Nicky Hayden 'Wired' Replica is available in sizes XS through XXL, at a suggest retail price (as of May 31, 2002) of $676.95.
