The KLR is back for more sloppy good times! When looking
for an adventure-touring mount, the venerable KLR650 has been a
long-serving stone ax for Kawasaki. These dual-sporters can be seen from
Moab to Manhattan, most often looking muddy and well-used, and that's
because they're ridden by riders looking for a two-wheeled Jeep.
Now, with its first major revision since the Eisenhower era, the KilLeR
Kaw comes romping into bike season with a major overhaul. Did the big
Thumper lose its edge or sharpen a new one, or something in between? Wet
and dry, paved and dirt, we sent a KLR aficionado to find out if this
new scrambler advances the state of the dual-sport motorcycle.
