06 K1200GT Exhaust Smell?

Just got back from a great trip to Utah from Va. The three Bmws in the group lead the group of eight bikes. the rest were Harleys. I got complaints from those behind me that the exhaust from my bike had a foul smell. I couldn't detect it from were I sat but once they mentioned it I could smell it too. The lead bike was also an '06 K1200GT.I don't think the harley guys were putting me on. Has anyone else had this experence. The bike has over 2000 miles on it so I would think the cat converters would be settled in by now.

Any ideas?
