The worlds largest private collection of BMW motorcycles is up for sale.

The Willy Neutkens Collection of BMW motorcycles will be sold by auction house Bonhams at the BMW Museum in Munich, Germany on Nov. 28. Neutkins, who passed away in 2008, collected nearly every BMW model ever produced. The collection of over 100 bikes earned Neutkens recognition from the Guinness Book of Records for owning the most examples of a single make.

It is a privilege to offer this collection on behalf of the Neutkins family, says Ben Walker, head of Bonhams motorcycles department. Not only is it one of the most prestigious collections of BMW motorcycles in the world but it is also taking place at a world class museum the BMW Museum in Munich.

Neutkens collection ranges from a 1923 BMW R32 to the 1996 R100R. Some noteworthy motorcycles include Georg Meiers 1953 R68 ISDT, a WWII-era R75 Kriegselefant sidecar outfit with Afrika Korps colors and an R100 Classic, the last of BMWs old-style Twin-cylinder Boxers.

Neutken, a former dealer, restored each motorcycle in his collection.
