MV Agusta opens South Korean dealership

Further Asian expansion planned
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Jun. 02, 2010
MV Agusta is expanding into the Asian market with the opening of a new boutique dealership in South Korea.

The five-story dealership in the upscale Cheongdam-dong district of the capital city Seoul is designed around the concept of Motorcycle & Coffee. MV Agusta motorcycles, parts and clothing are displayed in a minimalist showroom while other spaces are used for hosting cultural events. An external elevator leads to a service area with technicians trained by MV Agusta.

The new dealership is the first of step of MV Agustas Asian expansion plan. Other dealerships are in the works with a showroom in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia set to open later this month.

MV Agusta's new five-story dealership is located in Seoul's upscale shopping district.

MV Agustas expansion comes as parent company Harley-Davidson continues to search for a buyer for the Italian brand. Despite an uncertain future, MV Agusta has continued to grow, reporting 50% increase in sales over the first quarter of 2010 with the introduction of the new Brutale 990R, Brutale 1090RR and an updated F4.
