MV Agusta F3 Enters Production in September

675cc Triple engine already claims 133hp

MV Agusta released a status updated on its new F3 sportbike, announcing production to begin in mid-September.

The 675cc three-cylinder sibling to the MV Agusta F4 made its public debut at the 2010 EICMA show in Milan where it was named Most Beautiful Bike of the show. Since that unveiling, MV Agusta has been testing the F3.

According to MV Agusta, the F3s engine can output over 133hp at 15000rpm, more than the manufacturer had expected at this point of development. The engine uses a counter-rotating crankshaft, a feature MV Agusta says offers improved performance in fast direction changes and weight transfer during acceleration. The MV Agusta F3 will also use a ride-by-wire throttle system.

MV Agusta says the F3 is on schedule for a September launch.

Citing a stabilized financial picture, MV Agusta says the F3 is on schedule to enter pre-production and production by mid-September with units available for sale in late autumn.
