VerticalScope Inc., publisher of Motorcycle.com, Snowmobile.com and more than 100 powersports, auto, sports and technology web sites, yesterday launched ATV.com as the latest property in its powersports group.

“We are thrilled to be adding ATV.com to our powersports portfolio,” says VerticalScope President Rob Laidlaw. “Our experience in digital media and powersports, combined with the editorial excellence we apply across all of our properties, will immediately make ATV.com an authoritative source.”

VerticalScope’s other powersports properties include Motorcycle.com, the No. 1 motorcycle web site since it was launched in 1994, and the recently launched Snowmobile.com, already one of the most popular snowmobile enthusiast sites anywhere in the world.

“We are confident that ATV.com’s blend of top notch editorial content will earn the trust and respect of ATV enthusiasts—not just in North America, but everywhere in the world that all terrain vehicles are enjoyed,” says Laidlaw.

Positioned to become one of the largest and most visited ATV enthusiast destination sites on the Internet, ATV.com intends to be the definitive information resource for enthusiasts. Home to machine reviews, performance tests, how-to articles, OEM news, product reviews, trails and events information and an ATV specs feature, ATV.com gives consumers all the information they need. The site covers the full spectrum of machines, across the youth, sport and utility platforms, with accompanying galleries of photos and video.

Following the example of Motorcycle.com as the ‘flagship’ of its powersports group, VerticalScope will combine its editorial and creative resources with its sales and marketing professionals to make ATV.com a world-class site for enthusiasts.

“This is an exciting opportunity for us and we are looking forward to collaborating closely with our advertisers and industry partners to insure we meet and exceed their expectations in this rapidly changing online space,” says Jerry Orban, Vice-President of Business Development. “Our online magazine format and discussion forums create a vibrant marketplace where active consumers can find out about the latest products and services.”
