Details on the SuperMartXé VIP by Paris Hilton team have emerged ahead of the teamís official presentation in Madrid that may shed some light on what to expect.
The team plans to race at least three seasons beginning with the final year of the 125cc Grand Prix Championship in 2011. The team plans to continue racing when the class is replaced by the 250cc four-stroke Moto3 class in 2012, and possibly Moto2 as well.
For 2011, the team will run Aprilia RSA 125 race bikes with support from Apriliaís racing department and the BQR race team. The team will also benefit from the technical experience of Rossano Brazzi, who was the crew chief for Valentino Rossiís first Grand Prix World Championship in 1997.
The SuperMartXé team will field two riders in its first year, Sergio Gadea and Maverick Viñales. Gadea raced in the 125cc class from 2003 to 2009 before moving up to the Moto2 class in 2010. He has three career wins and 15 podium appearances in the 125cc class and an additional podium in Moto2. Viñales is a rookie to the 125cc class but he brings a strong résumé, winning the 125 title in the Spanish CEV series and the European Championship in 2010.
As for the title sponsors, SuperMartXé is a Spanish company that hosts high end parties across Europe. SuperMartXé invited Hilton to endorse the team, with a contract to appear at five races, but Hilton reportedly decided to buy a stake in the team and become a partner.
