Luxury Hotel for Bikers and Briefcases
Luxury hotel for bikers and briefcases
The Iron Horse Hotel is a boutique hotel with a vintage modern style in a century-old former warehouse near the Harley-Davidson Museum.
The hotel offers many amenities for riders, such as covered motorcycle parking, rag bins, an on-site bike wash station, and on-call bike maintenance service.
Rooms feature subtle design elements for riders such as custom hooks for hanging heavy leathers and a storage bench for helmets and boots. The hotel also offers packages that include an Iron Horse Hotel skull cap, packed saddle bag lunches, sun screen, lip balm and local ride routes.
Owner Tim Dixon is careful to note that the Iron Horse is not a motorcycle-themed hotel. Dixon says that modern motorcycle riders are senior executives, CEOs and entrepreneurs, and the hotel caters to that demographic.
We are an urban boutique hotel with a mix of clientele that offers a truly experiential stay, says Dixon. These are weekday business travelers accustomed to luxury hotels. Well offer this customer the business services they expect along with features and amenities that address their needs as riders.
To meet the needs of this demographic group, the hotel also offers meeting rooms, wireless Internet access, 42 LG LCD flat screen televisions and in-room interfaces for operating and charging laptops, mobile phones and PDAs.
