Laguna Seca Testing Open to Public
Laguna Seca testing open to public
Laguna Seca will open its gates at 8 am and welcome fans to the paddock, grandstands and trackside viewing areas to watch their favorite racers for free.
Top riders from Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Honda factory teams will test the Monterey, Calif. track to prepare for the July 18-20 Red Bull US Grand Prix and the season-ending Corona AMA Superbike Finale on Sept. 27-28.
Other free activities scheduled for the day of testing include a parade lap for all fans in bikes and cars, Q&A sessions with current AMA riders as well as racing legend Wayne Rainey, and a demonstration by Supermoto USA. Yamaha will also display their latest sportbikes.
This is a great opportunity for fans to check out the AMA teams and meet some of the top AMA riders in a more casual setting than that of a hectic race weekend, says Gill Campbell, chief executive officer and general manager of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. Were grateful to our friends at Yamaha who are renting the track that day, and the other manufacturers testing with them, for allowing us to piggyback their day with this great fan promotion.
The first 100 fans will also receive Red Bull US Grand Prix souvenirs. All fans attending Moto Monday can purchase general admissions tickets to the Grand Prix and receive a free hat and grandstand tickets for race day Sunday.
