Kymco to provide support vehicles to drag racing series
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Dec. 17, 2009
Kymco USA has been named the official scooter and ATV supplier for the National Hot Rod Association.

The NHRA will use Kymco ATVs and scooters at Full Throttle Drag Racing Series events. Kymco vehicles will also be used at five NHRA-owned and operated drag racing facilities.

We are pleased to welcome Kymco USA into the NHRA family of official sponsors, says Gary Darcy, NHRA senior vice president-sales and marketing. The quality scooters and ATVs that Kymco USA provides NHRA will certainly help our Safety Safari team as well as our track officials do their jobs in a more efficient manner. In turn, we feel the partnership will offer exceptional exposure opportunities to generate awareness and recognition for Kymco USA.

By partnering with the NHRA, considered one of the worlds largest motorsports sanctioning bodies, Kymco gets a boost to its brand exposure. The NHRA Full Throttle series has 23 events on its 2010 calendar including a new Nationals event in Charlotte, N.C., close to Kymco USAs headquarters in Spartanburg, S.C.

Were extremely excited to be partnering with the NHRA, says Eric Bondy, Kymco USA president and chief executive officer. Theyre a world-class organization that provides tremendous entertainment for all members of the family. This partnership falls directly in line with our strategy of partnering with great organizations to build national awareness of the KYMCO brand. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.
