Kawasaki launches mobile website

Product information and dealer locator available for mobile phones
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, May. 25, 2010
Kawasaki has created a new website designed for mobile phone browsers.

The new site, http://m.kawasaki.com/, offers many of the features of Kawasakis regular home page, such as a dealer locator and specifications for the companys motorcycle, ATV, 4x4, and watercraft products. The mobile site will provide real-time information in sync with the regular site.

Our consumers are increasingly accessing the Web through mobile devices, and the mobile Web site is another way that Kawasaki is engaging them on their platform of choice, says Chris Brull, Kawasaki s marketing communications director. We have been focusing on digital communications during the past few years, and this is another example of using the right technology to reach the right audience.

According to Brull, the 2009 Internet & American Life Project study by the Pew Research Center found that 32% of Americans have used the Internet on mobile phones while 46% say on-the-go access to information is important to them.

The mobile site will also be used by Kawasaki dealers and trade show personnel to quickly provide customers with product information right on the show floor. Customers will also be able to sign up to receive text alerts about new promotions.
