Kawasaki Hosting Riding Lesson Marathon
Kawasaki hosting riding lesson marathon
The marathon rider training event will be held Feb. 12 at Kawasaki s headquarters in Irvine, Calif., and will consist of five four-hour training sessions held through the day. The sessions are free to the public with a donation to breast cancer research and the Susan G. Komen For the Cure organization.
Everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer, says Jan Plessner, Kawasakis public relations manager. We wanted to do something unique to show Kawasaki support and at the same time, provide a large-scale and fun opportunity for new riders to get trained.
Professional instructors will teach fundamentals of off-road riding while special guests will stop by through the day to offer their support and some advice of their own.
Participants will also receive tickets to the Anaheim III round of the 2010 AMA Supercross Championship, Feb. 13 at Angel Stadium. Kawasaki will also host a track walk and a tour of its factory teams pit area. Riders and teams at Anaheim III will wear pink and feature the color on their motorcycles to further raise breast cancer awareness.
