J-Law to Race MiniMotoSX
J-Law to race MiniMotoSX
Lawrence has signed on to race the Maxxis MiniMotoSX at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. on May 1. The race, to be held the day before the AMA Supercross season finale, is billed as the worlds biggest minibike race.
Lawrence will race on the Brown Brothers Racing Motorsports 160cc minibike in the premier MME-12 expert 12-inch wheel class.
While Jasons no stranger to high level competition, we wanted to make sure hes outfitted with the best, most competitive bike we could possibly create to line up for the MiniMotoSX, says BBR co-founder Duane Brown. Everything the Monster Energy/BBR Race Team and BBR Factory Team guys have access to, weve engineered into the #338 bike for Jason. And I think I speak for everyone not only here at BBR, but in the entire MX industry, that we cant wait to see how Jason does against the worlds top mini bike racers in Vegas.
Yeah, I havent really thought about that yet, says Lawrence of his strategy. Ive got a couple mini bikes, but Im sure theyre not nearly as fast as what BBRs putting together for me. Im pumped to ride it, really. Friday at the Orleans is gonna be a blast.
AMA Racing suspended Lawrence for the remainder of the AMA Supercross season on April 20 for an on-track altercation with competitor Broc Hepler. Lawrences appearance at the MiniMotoSX gives the race some star power but AMA officials arent likely to be pleased about it.
