Hyosung Enters Indian Market

Korean manufacturer to import GT650R, ST7

Hyosung is expanding to India, announcing a strategic partnership with importer Garware Motors.

Garware Motors and Hyosung s parent company, S&T Motors, announced it will begin offering Hyosung motorcycles in the first quarter of 2011.

Hyosung will focus on the 650-700cc segment with the GT650R sportbike and the ST7 cruiser. Units will be assembled in Wai, India. Hyosung plans to sell 2,000 units in its first year of operation and with expansion to 5,000 units by 2013.

The Hyosung ST7 will be offered to Indian consumers in early 2011.
