Honda Thailand Unveils 2011 CBR150R

Asia-only model a preview of CBR250R?
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Oct. 20, 2010
Honda Thailand unveiled its updated CBR150R featuring a combination of CBR1000RR and VFR1200F styling.

While the 2011 Honda CBR150R will only be available in the Asian market, its design offers a preview of the next version of the CBR125R which is available in Europe and Canada, as well as the upcoming CBR250R expected to debut in November at the 2010 EICMA show in Milan.

The CBR150R uses body panels similar to its literbike cousin the CBR1000RR but the front face features a headlight design drawn from the VFR1200F.

The updated CBR150R has the VFR1200F's distinct headlight design while the body panels reflect the CBR lineage.

Aside from the larger 150cc engine, the CBR150R is otherwise mechanically identical to the CBR125R which isnt available in the U.S. but has proven to be a top seller in Europe and Canada. The all-new CBR250R might be a better bet for North America as a competitor to Kawasaki s Ninja 250R.
