Honda Extends Production Stoppage

Production suspended through March 23
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Mar. 18, 2011
Hondas Japanese motorcycle production factory will remain closed until at least March 23. Honda had previously announced the suspension of its facilities through March 20, but the plants will be idled for at least three more days.

Production at the Kumamoto factory, which produces Honda motorcycles and power products, as well as Hondas Saitama and Suzuka automobile production facilities, will continue to be suspended until March 23 as a result of the Japanese earthquake.

Honda will decide whether to open its factories from March 24 onwards based on parts supply and the state of Japanese society as a whole.
