H-D Items in Jerry Lewis MDA Auction
H-D items in Jerry Lewis MDA auction
The Harley-Davidson items will be part of the Muscular Dystrophy Associations first national online auction which includes over 2,500 items donated by celebrities and MDA sponsors. The auction is being held in conjunction with the traditional Labor Day telethon.
This is a new, exciting and fun way to help my kids, says MDA National Chairman and legendary comedian Jerry Lewis. Its a way to get some fantastic items, or experience something unique that wouldn't otherwise be possible all while helping in the fight against muscle diseases.
Harley-Davidson has been a long-time sponsor of the MDA, which funds research and provides services in the fight against muscular dystrophy and other muscle and nervous system diseases. Since 1980, Harley-Davidson, its dealers, customers, employees, suppliers and the Harley Owners Group has raised over $65 million for the MDA.
Also up for auction is a special edition Harley-Davidson 105th anniversary Stratocaster guitar from Fender. The first of three 105th anniversary guitars, the black Stratocaster features black chrome and black nickel hardware. Harley-Davidsons Bar and Shield logo is engraved on the jack plate, head stock and serialized neck plate. The guitar will also feature a perforated alloy pick-guard and back plates with the same type of socket-head Allen screws used on Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
Other items in the MDAs auction include tickets to the Entertainment Tonight Emmy Awards after-party, VIP passes to a Tonight Show taping and VIP tickets to the 2009 Jerry Lewis Telethon in Las Vegas, Nev. with a meet-and-greet with Lewis.
The MDAs first online auction closes Sept. 4. To bid in the MDA auction, visit http://www.mda.org/auctions.
