H-D flags support U.S. troops

Banners bear messages of encouragement
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Dec. 08, 2008
Harley-Davidson has shipped nearly 100 flags to American troops stationed around the world.

Each Harley-Davidson flag bears messages of encouragement signed by motorcycle enthusiasts at various events throughout 2008. Once a flag is filled with messages, it gets packed and shipped to troops stationed overseas.

Harley-Davidson says that nearly 100 flags have been sent to troops in such countries as Afghanistan, Iraq, Korea, Japan and Germany.

The Motor Company has also made other contributions through the year to support various veterans organizations such as the Disabled American Veterans, the Traveling Vietnam Wall and the Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally.

Harley-Davidson also offers its military sales program to members of the United States military deployed overseas with special discounts and extended factory warranties to cover time spent abroad.
