Harley-Davidson owners set lofty mileage goal

Harley Owners Group wants to log one million miles in one day
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Mar. 04, 2008
The Harley Nation will be ringing in the summer with a collective roar of v-twin engines as riders around the world will unite with a goal to log a million miles in a single day.

The Harley Owners Group (H.O.G.) is asking members to join together on June 30, 2008 for Million Mile Monday. Whether theyre making a few laps around the block or roaring down the I-90, H.O.G. members will be logging their mileage with the common goal of riding one million miles.

Ride to work, at lunch, or all day long. Ride alone, with friends, or with your chapter, says Mike Keefe, V.P. of the Harley Owners Group. Just get out, ride and have fun.

Participants can log their miles on the clubs website http://members.hog.com/. With more than one million members and over 1,400 chapters around the world, their target is certainly attainable.

H.O.G. hopes to make this an annual event, marking the final Monday of every June as Million Mile Monday.
