Harley-Davidson event changes line-up

Aerosmith cancels on H-Ds Harley Owners Group, event now free
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Mar. 07, 2008
One of the headliners for the Harley Owners Groups 25th anniversary celebrations has pulled out, but those planning to attend will be happy to know that the event is now free to all club members.

Aerosmith has cancelled its appearance at the August 28 event due to medical reasons, a spokesperson for the band says. Though no reason was given in the statement, it comes on the heels of an announcement Wednesday that the Boston bands lead guitarist Joe Perry has cancelled other personal appearances to undergo knee surgery.

While its disappointing to lose Aerosmith, we have a great lineup of musical acts including Kid Rock, Sugarland, and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, says Mike Keefe, HOG vice-president. Were pleased to announce that all entertainment during our 25th Anniversary celebration at Miller Park will be free for all HOG members.

Originally priced at US$25 a ticket, members will now be able to order tickets for free through HOGs website http://www.hog.com/. Tickets will be available March 12.

Other musical acts scheduled to appear at the event are DB Bryant, The Billy Bob Thornton Band, Jason Michael Carroll, and Big Bob and the Ballroom Blitz. Comedians Greg Giraldo, John Bowman and Lewis Black are also on the lineup.

The HOG event will kick off Harley-Davidsons 105th anniversary celebrations which will be held August 29 to 31 in the Milwaukee area.
