Hacking re-signs with Kawasaki

The Hacker joins Hayden in Daytona Sportbike class

Jamie Hacking will join Roger Hayden on the Monster Energy Attack Kawasaki team to race in the AMA Daytona Sportbike class.

Hacking will return for his third season with Kawasaki. The 37-year-old fifth in the 2008 AMA Superbike Championship with eight podium finishes. In 2007, Hacking finished runner-up to Hayden in the AMA Supersport class and sixth in AMA Superbike. The 2003 AMA Supersport champion, Hacking will be back in the 600cc class riding the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.

We are very pleased to have Jamie back with our team, says Mike Preston, Kawasaki Road Racing manager. Hes a proven champion in the 600 class. With his knowledge and experience on the Kawasaki, we expect him to be up on the podium every weekend.

Hacking made an impressive debut in the Daytona 200, finishing third in the 1998 race. He will again compete in the historic race March 6 when it will held under the lights for the first time.

Im looking forward to ride the Daytona 200 again, says Hacking. It seems Ive finished in every other position but on top. I definitely want to go after a win. The Attack team has a great reputation at this race so it makes me feel confident. Ive heard great reviews about the new ZX-6R and Im ready to go out and ride it.
