Graves offers WORKS YZF-R6 parts

New line offers parts used by Graves Motorsports race team
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Jan. 09, 2009
Graves Motorsports is offering a new line of performance parts to let privateers assemble a bike identical to Ben Bostroms AMA Supersport championship-winning Yamaha R6.

Unlike regular aftermarket parts, the new WORKS line features non-standard parts normally engineered, tested and used by the Graves Motorsports Yamaha Racing team in the AMA paddock. Graves Motorsports increased production of these parts to be offered to the public to, according to the company, narrow the gap between standard aftermarket accessories and true factory parts.

All of the parts in the WORKS line comply with the new AMA Road Racing rules which are structured to make it more affordable for privateers to compete against the factory teams.

Were taking things to the next level by bringing all of these parts to privateers so they can have the same bike Ben Bostrom rode to the Supersport championship, says Chuck Graves, company president and team owner.

Privateer racers can use the same parts as Ben Bostrom's championship-winning Graves Yamaha R6.
The WORKS line of parts is available exclusively through http://works.gravesport.com/. Visitors will need to register an account to browse the WORKS site.

The WORKS site launched with Graves Motorsports products for the Yamaha YZF-R6 as well as OEM Yamaha racing parts for the YZF-R1. Separate sections for Yamahas YZ450F and YZ250F dirt bikes will be added in the future.

WORKS parts are designed for serious racing and track day enthusiasts. Parts do not come with instructions, guarantees or warranties. Race technicians will respond to technical questions via email. As they are not meant for wholesale production, parts are available in limited supply, but new parts will be made available as they are developed by Graves Motorsports.
