Golfing for the Red Flag

Charity tournament to benefit injured racers
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Mar. 25, 2008
A charity golf tournament will be raising money to support seriously injured motorcycle racers.

The Red Flag Fund will host the tournament on June 9, at the Quit Qui OC Golf Club in Elhart Lake, Wis., the day after the American Motorcyclist Association Superbike Championship stop at Road America.

Registration costs US$100 per golfer, or $350 for a foursome. Registration covers green fees and use of a golf cart, plus opportunities to win prizes. There will also be a dinner reception following in the evening, with a charity auction.

This is a great opportunity to raise money for injured motorcycle racers and play some great golf on a wonderful course near Road America the day after the AMA Superbike races, says Jeff Kufalk, president of the Red Flag Fund.

The Red Flag Fund provides financial assistance to racers who have been injured in sanctioned motorcycle racing competitions. Funds will help offset the costs of medical care, rehabilitation and other expenses endured by injured racers and their families.

Those interested in participating in the charity golf outing can register at [email protected].
