By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Apr. 30, 2010
Motorcycle Charity Associates is treating a group of wounded veterans to free vision treatment and a party at the Playboy Mansion.

The California-based charity group is sending veterans from Texas bases Fort Hood and Fort Sam Houston to Los Angeles for LASIK corrective eye surgery or implantable contact lenses.

The injured soldiers, all recently returned from active duty, and their caretakers will then enjoy a few days of rest in L.A. before being attending the second annual Stars & Stripes event at the Playboy Mansion on National Armed Forces Day, May 15.

Playboy Playmate Nikki Ziering will be the Honorary VIP for the charity ride.

Tickets for the event are $1,000 a ticket, with proceeds benefiting Heroes Night Out, a non-profit organization that supports wounded veterans. A silent auction will also raise money for wounded soldiers.

Its the least we can do in exchange for the sacrifices our service men and women have made to insure our freedoms in this great country, says Billy Gordon, executive director of MCA. The week-long experience should be a great morale booster, which is a big part of what Heroes Night Out provides.

MCA will also hold itsStars and Stripes VIP Ride the morning of the event. Starting at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, the ride will travel to Sunset Boulevard and through the Sunset Strip to the Hollywood Hills, Beverly Hills and the Pacific Palisades. The ride continues on the Pacific Coast Highway to Topanga Canyon.
