Fox Grand Marshal for Ride for Autism

Poker run for autistic children

Brenda Fox will be the grand marshal of the sixth annual Ride for Autism, March 27-29.

The motojournalist, stunt rider and television personality will take part in the 2009 Project Independence Ride for Autism.

Project Independence which helps autistic individuals learn to live independently. Project Independence encourages autistic children to reach their full potential through social interaction, life-skills training and sports.

Brenda Fox will be the Grand Marshal of the Ride for Autism.
The 2009 ride will be an overnight poker run beginning at the Cajun Harley-Davidson/Buell dealership in Lafayette suburb Scott, La. Cards will be drawn in St Francisville, La., Natchez, Ms. and Alexandria, La., with the final card drawn at the 308 Saloon back in Scott.

Registration for the poker ride is $35 per hand. The best hand wins $1,000, second place wins $500 and third wins $250. All registrants will receive a ride pin and will get to meet Grand Marshal Fox.

Project Independence will also hold a raffle for a 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan cruiser at $10 per ticket.
